Delete your RoomsNmates account

Updated September 24, 2026 · Current United States beta

You can request deletion of your RoomsNmates account and associated information by email, without reinstalling the app or paying for a subscription. RoomsNmates is operated by Tony Gonzalez, an individual.

Request deletion by email

Email an account-deletion request

If the button does not open your email app, send an email to [email protected] with the subject RoomsNmates account deletion. State that you want your account and associated data deleted, and include the email address used for your RoomsNmates account.

Send the request from that account email if possible. If you no longer have access to it, explain this so we can arrange reasonable ownership verification. Do not send your password, payment-card details, or a government ID.

Opening the email link does not submit a request. You must send the email, and support will handle verification and processing manually.

Delete through the app

In the connected app, open Settings and choose the account-deletion option. Confirm your password and type DELETE when prompted.

An in-app request immediately hides your profile and room listings. An automatic worker checks eligible requests every five minutes and retries temporary failures; this is not a promise that deletion will finish in five minutes. Safety-related exceptions, staff accounts, and repeated technical failures require operator review.

What is deleted

Routine account deletion removes your authentication account, profile, room listings, uploaded photos, favorites, messages involving your account, blocks, entitlement records, invitation, and associated application audit records from active systems. Account deletion is not just deactivation or hiding.

Support correspondence, safety evidence, and provider logs or backups are reviewed separately. A safety report does not automatically justify retaining every record.

What may remain

Only information needed for a justified security, fraud-prevention, dispute, or legal purpose may be retained as an exception, with access limited to that purpose. We will explain applicable retention exceptions unless law prohibits doing so.

A restricted deletion receipt keeps the request reference, account identifier, status, and timestamps for up to 30 days after completion, then is automatically removed. Its contact email is removed when completion is viewed in the app or an email confirmation is recorded, and no later than receipt expiry. Unfinished requests remain tracked until resolved.

Provider logs and backups follow separate retention cycles, so deletion from active systems does not promise immediate erasure of every backup. Copies independently saved by other members may remain outside our control. The current beta's detailed retention schedule for exceptional records and provider logs and backups still requires finalization before public launch.

Timing and confirmation

We will complete verified account-deletion requests within 30 calendar days after verifying account ownership, or sooner if applicable law requires. We will request only information reasonably needed for verification and will not use verification to unnecessarily delay your request. Any applicable legal deadline measured from initial receipt still applies.

The app shows automatic completion while your current session remains valid. Email requests and email confirmations are handled manually. Contact support with your request reference if you need an update; we will confirm completion and explain any applicable exception unless prohibited by law.

Subscriptions and other requests

Subscription purchases are currently disabled. Account deletion does not itself cancel a Google Play subscription if you have one in a later paid version; cancellation and deletion are separate actions, and deletion requests do not require payment.
